At Chapter 2, she’s still healthy — quite athletic, even — on the surface. Although her apparent health will fade away soon, she tries not to mope about it. She is determined to keep her spirit up, to cherish the last few months of her life. But how long will her strength hold out?

Being a Kendrey grad is impressive; graduating from Kendrey at the top of the class at age eighteen is downright frightening. Chi-Min is an example of the latter. He practices three different specialties, including katathology, the science of using magic for diagnosis and treatment.
Being an elf, he possesses magical capacity far greater than a normal human’s. This is helpful, but most people tend to see him as the Magical Elf Doctor, dismissing his intelligence and hard work. He used to be openly bitter about this back when he was more active in the research scene. Nowadays, however, it’s hard to tell.

In spite of everything, there seems to be quite a bit of animosity between the two of them…

Life wasn’t always easy for this now-wealthy executive. As a child, he lived in the slums, growing up among the homeless. He was either orphaned or abandoned at a very young age and did not have any memories of his parents. His surname Alberich comes from his foster father, who adopted him when he was fifteen.
Kenneth E. Cortinon

Occupation: elfologist
Cortinon is an internationally renowned elfologist as indicated by his epithet: the Father of Modern Elfology. He believes that elves should be unfailingly obsequious, and that strong feelings and desires are unacceptable in elves as they could conflict with duties. That may have something to do with his enmity towards Chi-Min, an elf who is anything but obsequious.
